Kia Ora / Malo / Kia Orana / Bula / Hello / Greetings I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Shaun Stevenson and my family comes from the Waikato – Tainui region. I have been privileged enough to be the Principal of three kura/ schools before taking up the challenge of working here at Waimahia Intermediate School. We would like to extend a warm welcome to all families, especially our new whanau/families that have joined our school this term. We look forward to developing a positive relationship with all our community so that we can all work together to help raise student achievement levels for our tamariki /children. It is my belief that every child has the right to;
- Feel safe and secure in our school environment.
- Be able to receive top quality educational programmes that cater for their needs.
- Have fun while they are here at our school.
As a whole staff we will be working hard to ensure that these three simple rights are visible in our school at all times. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require any information or require a discussion about your child’s education at our school.
Uniform Expectations: All children/tamariki who attend our school are expected to wear their uniform with pride. Please provide your child or children with a written note if they do not have the correct uniform. On wet days children are allowed to wear jackets rain coats etc to and from school.
